I have a lot of issues with the game, but I feel most of the issues boil down to how old the game originally was. Thing is, I feel I am missing a good amount of stages. I made it to world 4 but I have yet to run into some of the stages shown in the trailer or screenshots, like I am surprised I didn't find stuff like the underwater stage in world 3, for example. Unless they are in world 4 or 5, I'll need some help finding these stages
This game is not Metroidvania style, but it does have a strategy element of collecting colored pencils and other items in each chapter.
For example, in World 3, you can enter 3-4 (EX stage) by taking the orange pencil at 3-3 (after the boss, the silver coin is the landmark) and inserting it into the slot at 3-2. (The difficulty level must be normal or higher.)
And also, some scenes in the trailer are newly added stages that can be accessed after the ending depending on the elements you discover.
Ah ok. Funnily enough, I managed to sequence break that specific EX stage by using i-frames, where I was able to get to the EX stage without the pencil since the respawn point was close enough to that exit

Thank you for playing.

You don't necessarily need to own a pen to enter the ex stage, but on rare occasions you might get lucky and take a shortcut.
I see, I looked into i-frames.
